Welcome to
House of Self
For women who understand themselves deeply, but still don’t feel free.
Start the Journey
At House of Self, Kathryn Grace offers 1:1 therapy (extended sessions), therapy intensives, group work, and retreats designed for deep, lasting change.
Kathryn is a registered Occupational Therapist and Internal Family Systems facilitator who has crossed her own share of difficult terrain, grief, loss, the unraveling of who she thought she was and built this practice from what she found on the other side. House of Self is built around supporting women to move beyond coping strategies, toward a life shaped by who they actually are, understanding their inner world, building real self-trust, and creating relationships with genuine depth. This is where practical tools meet deep, considered healing work.
A sanctuary for your
whole Self
You’ve done the work, but something is still missing.
You've done the work.
You have insight. You can name your patterns, understand where they came from, maybe even catch them while they're happening.
And still, something in you keeps bracing.
You overthink before you decide. Override what your body is telling you. Second-guess what you already know. You hold everything together on the outside while quietly wondering why all that self-awareness hasn't translated into a deeper sense of ease, trust or freedom in the way you actually live.
Because understanding yourself and being able to live differently aren't always the same thing.
We can know exactly why we people-please and still struggle to say no. Understand our anxiety and still find ourselves scanning for what might go wrong. Recognise our patterns and still lose contact with ourselves when the old protection comes online.
Insight matters. But healing has to meet real life.
House of Self is for women ready to stop endlessly managing themselves and develop a deeper relationship with themselves instead.
Through compassionate psychological work, IFS-informed practice, embodied exploration, relational presence and contemplative inquiry, we create space to understand what your protective patterns are doing and to experience new ways of relating to yourself from the inside out.
We develop the capacity to hear yourself, trust yourself and stay in relationship with yourself when real life happens.
To understand yourself deeply and build a life you can actually live from.

Meet Kathryn
Occupational Therapist, IFS Facilitator, Meditation & Yoga Teacher
For most of my life, I felt like I was at war with myself.
You probably wouldn't have known it from the outside. I was capable, driven, curious and deeply committed to understanding myself. I did the therapy, yoga, personal development, years of meditation and still, underneath it all, I carried this sense that something was fundamentally wrong with me.
What changed wasn't learning more about myself. It was learning how to be with myself differently.
To meet the parts I'd spent years trying to fix. To listen to my body instead of constantly overriding it. To discover that I didn't need to become someone else in order to feel at home in myself.
That journey has shaped me as much as any professional training ever has, and it's at the heart of how I work today.
I know this terrain because I've lived it, too.
How I work?
———————————————
My work is grounded in Internal Family Systems (IFS) ,a compassionate approach that helps us understand and build relationships with the different parts of ourselves, rather than trying to fix, suppress or override them.
Alongside IFS, I draw on attachment and relational work, somatic and embodiment practices, and contemplative traditions.
I don't see these as separate techniques, but different doorways into the same work: understanding what has shaped you, reconnecting with yourself, and creating change that can actually be lived.
